“Our word, our bond” – Hon. Kayode Omiyale

A fortnight ago a suburb area of Yaba LCDA (Makoko) witnessed fire disaster where about 50 houses and shop were gutted by fire. The Executive Chairman with his team went to commiserate and assess the level of carnage and a 5-man committee was set up to identify genuine victims.

In his words, “We will assist victims in our own way and also bring succour to them.”

Promise made is kept, as over 50 victims were given N50,000 each by the mayor of Yaba LCDA Hon. (Dr.) Kayode Adejare Omiyale.

In his remarks, “This Government is awaken to the plight of the people, in spite of thin resources at our disposal. We deem it fit to share in your pain, devise means to ameliorate it.”

He implored recipients to spend judiciously in this trying time to make up for lost ground.

An APC chieftain in the area Agba Akin of Yaba, Alhaji Mudashir Odetunde (Muda Shinner), appreciated the chairman’s gesture on behalf of the recipients and thanked him for the support given.

In company of the chairman’s entourage are HoA, Mr. Lai Giwa, Council Treasurer Mr. Jimoh Balogun, Head Public Affairs Unit, Mr. Kehinde Daniels and party chieftains.
