The University of Lagos Management, some members of staff and friends of the University, in the wee hours of Tuesday, May 31, 2022, paid a courtesy visit on the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin T. Ogundipe, FAS, at the Vice-Chancellor’s Lodge on the occasion of his 62nd Birthday celebration.
The Vice-Chancellor was clearly in awe as he was serenaded by a saxophonist, a talking drummer as well as a mini orchestra. Reverend Azuka Ogbolumani, the Chaplain of Chapel of Christ our Light (Protestant), UNILAG, was also on hand to share a short word of exhortation and prayer. He expressed his appreciation to all his well-wishers who took turns making group presentations of gifts and taking pictures with him.
Ogundipe was born on May 31, 1960. He attended the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) where he obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Botany. He holds a master’s degree in botany from the University of Ife and a doctorate degree (Ph.D.) from the same university. Thereafter, he obtained a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos and a certificate of attendance from the University of Reading in 1998.
Oluwatoyin Ogundipe is married with three children.
