What is your name and where do you live in Yaba?
My name is Aminat. I live at Alagomeji in Yaba.
What changes would you like to see in your area?
I think I would love to see changes in how residential apartments are rented out. Landlords and developers should ensure they finish every detail in their houses before renting them out to people. Many times, tenants are saddled with the responsibility of putting finishing touches on those buildings and that is not okay. Also, I want to see better security so we can be safer.
What’s your favourite place to have fun in Yaba?
Inside my house (laughs).
What do you love most about Yaba?
I love Yaba because it is a central location to almost anywhere in Lagos. I love its proximity to the Island as well as being a gateway to some parts of the Mainland.
What three things in life are you most grateful to have?
I’m grateful for good health, for life and for my family.
If you could learn any new skill, what would it be?
There’s too much craziness in the world and I would love to make it a saner place to live in.
