Revenue target: House C’ttee meets finance minister, CG customs, NUPRC boss

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Adewale Adeniyi, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Petroleum Regulatory Commission have arrived at the National Assembly for an interactive session with the House Committee on Appropriation.

The government officials are expected to defend their respective 2024 budget estimates before the Abubakar Bichi-led Committee and clarify its strategies to generate sufficient revenue to fund the 2024 budget.

The PUNCH had reported on Saturday that the committee invited revenue-generating agencies to appear before it today (Monday) to unveil measures they intend to deploy to boost revenue generation ahead of the implementation of next year’s budget.
