BILLBOARD has recognized Nigeria rapper, Olamide for his efforts and contributions as the CEO of one of the biggest music labels in Nigeria, YBNL.
The multi-talented and award-winning rapper, who recently released a new song titled Trumpet with CKay was named in the 2023 International Power Players List by Billboard.
Olamide founded the record label, YBNL, in 2012, which signed a distribution agreement with the global music publishing and distribution business, Empire, in 2020.
Through his label, Olamide has helped some of the talented musicians in Nigeria achieve a breakthrough in their careers. Some include; Fireboy DML, Asake, Adekunle Gold, Lil Kesh, and many other artistes, who are not even a part of the label.
Reacting to the news, Empire Music congratulated the artist saying, “Congrats to our partner & YBNL head honcho @olamide on his well-deserved feature in @billboard’s 2023 International Power Players List.”
