Kylian Mbappe tells PSG to make transfer move for Man City star Bernardo Silva

Kylian Mbappe has requested the signing of Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva at Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

The two shared a good relationship when they were together at Monaco, winning the Ligue 1 title and enjoying a run to the Champions League semi-final in the 2016-17 season, which was Mbappe’s breakthrough campaign.

Now, Mbappe wants to reunite with the Portuguese star in the French capital and improve his own side at the expense of the defending Premier League champions.

Silva’s future at Manchester City is unclear and he has stated he will speak to the club at the end of the current campaign to discuss the next few years at Pep Guardiola’s side.

In the last two seasons, he has been open to leaving Manchester City as he wants to be closer to his home country of Portugal, but a move hasn’t been possible for him.

Given the player’s importance to Manchester City and consistently good form, the Cityzens are demanding a high fee for him, something no other club in Europe has been able to match.

Barcelona have constantly been interested in him but were unable to make a move given their poor financial condition which restricts spending at free will.

He is a fan of the club, having seen his idol, Deco, play there in the past, but Barcelona would’ve only completed a move last summer had they sold Frenkie de Jong to Manchester United.

Now, PSG may enter the fray and they may be a viable option for Bernardo Silva as they have the financial means to pull off such a deal and there is a place for him in the team to give him regular game time.

Silva has a contract at Manchester City until the summer of 2025 and Manchester City are unlikely to let him go before that unless the right offer comes in for the player.

City themselves are looking to strengthen in midfield with their options in that area limited and Ilkay Gundogan is probably leaving the club at the end of the season as well.
