Omiyale steps up infrastructural development in Yaba LCDA

The mayor of Yaba Local Council Development Area, Hon. (Dr.) Kayode Adejare Omiyale stepped up the tempo of service delivery to the people as he called for a stakeholders meeting with the residents of Moore Road in Yaba.

At the meeting, Omiyale welcomed the residents of Moore Road and explained why the reconstruction is coming at this time.

In his words, “we have been working on a number of our roads within the LCDA. As we speak, we are working on Moshalasi Street, off Iwaya Road. We are also reconstructing Mcneil Road and now it is the turn of Moore Road.

“As we all know, the economic situation of the country is not friendly, we are working with very limited funds while faced with numerous infrastructural challenges.”

The executive chairman promised the residents that the construction of the road starts immediately and will be completed in 3 months.

He urged the residents and Community Development Association to adopt the road by making it their own. They should see to the successful implementation of the road from the start to the end. They should also maintain it because it is for their convenience and benefits.

Present at the occasion was the Senior Special Adviser to the state governor on education Miss Tola Salau, political chieftains Alhaji Alade Grillo, APC Chairman Yaba, Alhaji Raheem Ibrahim, the Council Manager Otunba Lai Giwa, the Council Treasurer Mr. Jimoh Balogun, the Councillor of the Ward, Hon. Kayode Olujobi, Ward Chairman Alhaji Mutiu Adewoye, CDC Vice Chairman Mr. Kayode Adewuyi.

The councillor of the ward, Hon. Kayode Olujobi thanked the chairman for responding to the call on the road rehabilitation as a promise made to the people during the electioneering campaign.
