5 cool places to hangout in Lagos Mainland

Living on the mainland can be just as much fun as living on the Island. You don’t necessarily have to go all the way to the island for a good time. This article is a list of incredible fun places to kick back and relax on the mainland. *wink*

Here are 5 hangout spots in Lagos mainland in no particular order:

Established for the purpose of preserving old carriage wagon, running shed and old steam locomotives and also to tell the story of the Nigerian Railway since inception and the economic history of Nigeria via pictures, the Legacy railway was built in November 1997.

Ikeja City Mall

Standing as the biggest shopping mall in Lagos, Ikeja City mall has a lot of fun activities going on, easily categorized as one of the busiest places in Ikeja. The mall has over 100 shops ranging from Fashion, Beauty, Sport, Telecoms, Entertainment, Supermarket and loads of food courts.

JJT Park (Johnson Jakande Tinubu Park), Ikeja 

Johnson Jakande Tinubu park was commissioned by FMR. Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in 2017 and this spot have been one of the best recreational centre on the mainland. A well decorated public park beautify with trees, flowers, waterfall etc. It also offers free WIFI.

A dedicated playground for kids, and you could any form of entertaining event at this park. It is located at Alausa, beside the Lagos State Assembly in Lagos.

Pappies Meatro, Yaba

Pappies Meatro is a grill bar located in Yaba, Lagos. It has a large space that can be used to host hangouts and private events. It is in a secluded environment. Although, it can get crowded on weekends especially. the food is great and affordable and the ambience is top notch.

New Afrika Shrine, Ikeja

The New Fela Shrine is actually a tourist attraction. It is an open-air entertainment centre which is currently managed by Femi Kuti and Yeni Anikulapo Kuti. It is a place to hangout, relax and watch the performances. While enjoying the delicacies, guests are also able to enjoy and savour the local delicacies.
