…Urges Parents to inculcate the words and fear of God in their Children at early stages
The Executive Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government, Hon. Omolola Essien, has celebrated children in commemoration of the year 2022 National Children’s Day.
The council boss, in her celebration note wrote: “Children are the most beautiful creature of God and the most joyful time for every person without any doubt is their childhood. Childhood is the happiest of time, this period of life is tremendous and unmatchable with every part of life. One’s foundation of every good or bad habit is started from this session. We should be more careful about our child and should provide them a better world. Children are the flowers from heaven. Let’s make this world a safe and enjoyable place for our kids.
“The most important factor is, as parents and guardians- we should teach our children and wards the fear of God; we need to inculcate this in them at the early stage. This will prevent them from being manipulated by unscrupulous persons, who will want to use them for their own selfish interests.
“What the child becomes in the future is determined by God Almighty. But the parents are the caretakers here on earth. And if the parents fail to take proper care of their children, what becomes of them in the future? Proverbs 22:6 says “that you should train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it”. The same book says that those who spare the rod of discipline hate their children. Those who love their children care enough to discipline them.
“May God Almighty in His infinite mercy keep evil eyes away from our children and make us reap the fruit of our labor.”
