The Mayor of Yaba LCDA, Hon. (Dr.) Kayode Adejare Omiyale hits 60 years today and he celebrated it in style dancing and giving praise and glory to God for sparing his life.
A thanksgiving service was held in honour of the elated mayor at the Ijero Baptist Church, Apapa Road, Ebute-Metta West, Lagos.
The Church service was also attended by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Bola Aileru, the Council Manager, Otunba Lai Giwa, the Council Treasurer, Mr. Jimoh-Balogun, as well as other government officials.
The Council Boss admonished the people of Yaba to always rejoice and be not anxious about anything, but that in all situation, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, they should make their requests known to God.
He then said : “We will not relent in fulfilling all our promises to you and we will continue to uphold honesty and transparency in carrying out our responsibilities.
For the gift of life, I say thank you Lord. For sound health and mind, I am indeed thankful. For Family, Friends, Associates, Colleagues, and Lagos state as a whole, I say thank you Lord. I am indeed the one who came back to say thank you Lord.
Another 20th of March has come to remind me of my life’s purpose and God’s ultimate plans. I have embraced a life of service, and a heart of compassion and empathy.
Therefore, I will rejoice and be glad, for this is indeed the day that the Lord has made.”
Hon. (Dr.) Kayode Adejare Omiyale was born on March 20, 1962.
