The Executive Chairman of Yaba LCDA, Hon. (Dr) Kayode Adejare Omiyale presented the 2022 budget tagged “Budget of Transformation” in the the sum of three billion, three hundred and fifty-one million, eight hundred and Ninety-seven thousand, eight hundred and ninety-five naira and twenty kobo (3,351,897,895.20) to the Legislative Arm for consideration and approval for the 2022 financial year.
Omiyale disclosed that the budget was aimed at bringing dividends of democracy to the doorstep of every resident of the council. In his words, “Our aim is to ensure we give a better living standard with the “Budget of Transformation”. We did a lot in the first term and we want to consolidate by focusing more in the area of Education, Infrastructure, Health, Poverty Alleviation, Skill Acquisition.
“We are hopeful to deliver dividends of democracy as done before and ready to raise the bar as expected,” he said.
Adejare urged the fifth Legislative Arm to put all hands on deck to contribute to the overall success of the Administration.
In furtherance , the leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Solomon Gbinigie commended the chairman for the timely presentation and meeting expectations by Law and promised to thoroughly look into the budget for speedy approval of the appropriation bill.
Present at the presentation were party leaders, Head of Admin., Otunba Lai Giwa, Council Treasurer, Mr Ademola Jimoh-Balogun, amongst others.
