Score card 100 days in office: Omiyale gives account of stewardship

Omiyale-led administration of Yaba LCDA earmarked events to commemorate the 100 days in office of his second term tenure. The programme which started on the 8th of November 2021 with flag-off of medical check up for members of staff and the community at large.

The 9th of November was the commissioning of the rehabilitated of St. Agnes Nursery and Primary School, Birrel-Sabo, Yaba, which was commissioned by the Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folashade Adefisayo. She commended and acknowledged the effort of the Hon. (Dr) Kayode Omiyale-led administration. She also implored teachers to be of good conduct and impact more in pupils.

However, medical check-up continued alongside the NULGE Merit Award on the 10th of November, 2021, where best management, senior, and junior staff were awarded for their immense contribution to the development of the LCDA. The Council Manager, Otunba Lai Giwa who appreciated all staff, implored them to always be of good behaviour and be steadfast in their respective duties.

Grand finale was the Mega Empowerment Programme organised by the Department of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Thursday 11th November 2021. Over a hundred and fifty people were empowered, gift items for pregnant mothers, the physically challenged, the aged, and traders within the community.

Hon. Kayode while giving his address acknowledged the effort of the Lagos State Government in the area of empowerment/training. He stated that the government can not do it alone. He emphasized that his administration has trained over three hundred women and youths in different skills and also equipped them. He reassured his continuous support to develop and create an enabling environment capable of transforming and enhancing our youths, women, and the society at large.

Otunba Tayo Oyemade, a Party Chieftain and former Chairman of Mainland Local government appreciated the kind gestures of Hon. Omiyale, the vice Chairman Hon. Bola Aileru, and gave the vote of thanks.

Jumat and church services were held at Igbobi-Sabe Central Mosque and Sunday Thanksgiving service held at Yaba Baptist Church respectively.
