The Lagos State Examinations Board has announced that the earlier scheduled Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) re-sit date which has been slated for Saturday, October 16, 2021, for JSS 3 students across the state is still scheduled to hold.
This information was disclosed in a statement released by the examinations board on Monday, October 11, 2021, titled, ‘BECE resit date remains unchanged – LASG’.
The statement, which cited a release from the Director of Lagos State Examination Board, Mr. Supo Gbadegesin, reads in part; “A release signed by the Director, Examinations Board, Mr. Supo Gbadegesin, implored the principals of both public and approved private junior secondary schools in the State that had participated in the examination to take note of the re-sit date, which is Saturday, October 16, 2021.”
“All affected candidates who had re-sit in English Studies, Mathematics, or both must partake in the scheduled examination. The test will be held at various designated centres across the six Education Districts in the State,” he added.
Mr. Gbadegesin urged all affected candidates to take part in the examination as there would be no other opportunity to do so.
