Empowered to be an economy driver

A 10-day Women Empowerment/Skills Acquisition Program organised by Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Department of Yaba LCDA was flagged off by the Executive Chairman Hon.(Dr.) Kayode Adejare Omiyale.

The program designed to train participants on Events Hall Decoration, Cosmetology and Body Therapy, commenced with the Chairman’s address who implored participants to maximize the opportunity offered as an avenue to become employers of labour, get additional income and be financially independent.

A cross-section of participants

This is pertinent considering the dwindling state of the global economy, Nigeria not an exception. The platform given is to be an “Economy Driver” in respective courses chosen to excel.

The Head of Dept, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Mutiat encouraged partakers to be punctual, attentive, and interactive with facilitators to achieve desired goals of the program.

The event was graced by the Vice Chairman Hon. Bolanle Aileru, Leader of the House Hon. Solomon Gbinigie, Head of Administration Mr. Lai Giwa, Council Treasurer Mr. Ademola Jimoh-Balogun, Rtd Permanent Secretary Otunba Ojora Adejiyan, Head of Human Resource Mr. Abiodun Shoneye, among others.
