It was joy all the way as the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Chairman, Comrade Aderonke Ogunyemi, the management staff and others welcome the new Council Manager Mr. Layiwola Giwa to Yaba LCDA yesterday.
Mr. Giwa took up the reins of office from the former Acting Council Manager, Engr. Lukman Thompson.
Ogunyemi said that the need to fill in the seat of the Council Manager is as important as the need to have an Executive Chairman. According to him, the development will give room for the smooth running of the government.
“The position calls for great responsibility and we are expected to bring in our knowledge and wealth of experience to bear in making meaningful contributions to the effort of this administration and upliftment of Yaba LCDA.
Mr. Layiwola Giwa was full of joy as he expressed gratitude to his teeming supporters for their solidarity. He urged them to contribute their best in moving the LCDA forward while on behalf of the management team, pledged their loyalty to the Chairman.
