Yaba LCDA holds year 2022 mid-year budget review

Appraisal of performance is the bedrock of good Governance. This is according to the Executive Chairman of Yaba LCDA Hon. (Dr) Kayode Adejare Omiyale during the year 2022 mid-year budget review held at the Sen. Oluremi Tinubu hall Yaba on Monday, 15th August, 2022.

According to the Executive Chairman, it is the first time in the history of the present Administration to have a mid-year review of budget where the Excos and the Management of the LCDA will come together to take a critical look on how far the administration has fared, where they need to improve on, or to adjust in order to be able to deliver the good governance to the people of the LCDA and the state at large.

Speaking further, Hon. (Dr) Omiyale reiterated that the LCDA is working co jointly with the State Government who he said had already started the process for budget 2023 and he implored the Excos and Management to start preparation for year 2023 budget in earnest as it must be ready by December 2022.

Furthermore, He urged all to use the opportunity of the program to go through their Departmental budgets, evaluate their performance, to do a thorough review of how far they have fared and come up with a strategic report of how to move the Department and the LCDA forward as this will be inculcated into the year 2023 budget.

Conclusively, He commended Mr. Ismail Ogunbambi, Head, Budget and Statistics for a wonderful initiative as he said it is an eye opener and a way of carrying each other along.

Present at the review were the Vice Chairman, Hon. Bolanle Aileru, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Adekitan Oyemade, Council Manager Mr. Lai Giwa, the Council Treasurer Mr. Jimoh Balogun amongst others.
